Best Rice for Diabetic Patients: Low-GI Rice by Flexim Agro
Diabetes management starts with making the
right dietary choices, and rice plays a crucial role in many diets worldwide.
However, not all rice varieties are suitable for diabetic patients. At Flexim
Agro, we provide high-quality, diabetes-friendly boiled/parboiled rice that is ideal
for individuals managing blood sugar levels.
Why choose Flexim Agro for rice?
§ We keep 1st grade export
quality rice. We proudly claim that we do not do mixing or blending with cheaper quality rice.
§ Our RAW rice varieties (Kurnool Sona
Masoori, Wada Kolam, Jeera-kasala/Gobindobhog) are 18-20 months old, with hardly any moisture in it. Therefore, it consumes more water while
cooking. As a result of which, our stomach gets full quickly. One can’t eat large portion of rice anymore.
This indirectly helps in lower carb intake.
§ We follow natural methods for storage
by using bay leaves, cloves, garlics, red chillis etc. We do not use any
harmful preservatives.
§ We have a top-quality boiled rice,
Miniket which has very low GI compared to other rice varieties. This makes it
good for pre-diabetic people. Parboiling increases the resistant starch in the rice which reduces the spike in blood sugar level when consumed.
§ We have a unique idly rice (boiled)
which is quite different from traditional idly rice (which has very high amount
of abnormal starch deposition) and hence our idly rice is much healthier. It
also gives fluffier finish to the idly.
§
We have another parboiled rice called Parmal rice (packaged under
Rozana Premium) which is a very good option for daily consumption as it has low
GI and not very difficult to cook like other boiled rice varieties.
§
We keep only export quality 1st grade naturally aged Basmati
rice. You would hardly find any broken grain. We do not mix any cheaper variety
basmati (like 2nd wand, dubar, tibar etc.). Our first and foremost
criteria is to provide the most flavourful basmati to our customers.
